Adding a clickable image to your Yahoo email signature on Mac or PC <=Click this link to download instructions.

An article on content creation tools, including IrfanView and Snipping Tool. <=Useful tools for creating an image.
My YouTube video on IrfanView – download and use it for free on a PC.

Things you’ll need: An image, a URL, basic copy and paste skills.

  1. If you don’t already have the image you want to use, download it and resize it to fit the signature block.
  2. Start to compose a message in Yahoo email and add your image to the body.
  3. Click once on that image in the body of your email. It should turn to your highlight color, in my case, this is blue. This indicates the image is selected, so you can copy it to the clipboard.
  4. Use any method you like to copy the image, I’m using Command-C. You may also use the Edit menu and choose Copy from there.
  5. Hover your mouse over the gear icon in the upper right corner of your Yahoo window and click, “Settings” in the drop-down menu.
  6. In the settings window, click, “Accounts” and on the right, click the Yahoo account you want to modify.
  7. Scroll down to see the Signature block. Click in the white space there.
  8. Use Command-V, or choose Paste from your Edit menu and your image should appear there.
  9. You’ll need a URL before we take the next step, so click a new tab, or use Command-N to bring up a new window and navigate to the web page you will use as the landing page for the link you are about to create. Select and copy that URL.
  10. Select the image that you just pasted in your signature block and click the “Insert Link” above that window – it looks like a chain link and it’s on the right edge of that line of icons.
  11. Use Command-V, or choose Paste from your Edit menu to paste the URL into the link area of that dialog box and click OK.
  12. IMPORTANT! Be sure to click Save at the bottom left corner of this window to save your work.
  13. Realize that when you get back to the open email (where we started this process) that it does not yet have your new signature file attached. So, click Compose and your new message should contain a clickable image!

Send yourself an email and click your image to see if you go to the URL you pasted in step number 11.

If yes, enjoy success!
